Richmond House SW14
Full renovation of the existing house and a glass extension with an open plan living space seamlessly connecting the house with the garden. The project included landscaping front and rear gardens, installation of a swimming pool with spa, a new gym and car lift.
We emphasised the difference in level between the house and the garden by creating a contemporary glass extension floating above the pool surround level. The frameless floor to ceiling sliding glass windows offering great visual connection with the landscaped rear garden that evolves from the fantastic bright daytime space to an atmospheric evening setting created by a subtle yet evocative lighting scheme.
The rear garden also includes a twenty metre long swimming pool with water fountain and built in spa which is visible down the side of the house from the gym through its motorised glass facade.
This house won the "Best Architectural House" award in the prestigious Internation Design & Architecture Awards 2017 as well as being published many times around the world- most recently featuring on the cover of Homes & Gardens April 2018.
