Carlos Place, Mount Street, Mayfair W1

We undertook the complete renovation and refurbishment of this duplex Grade II Listed apartment on Carlos Place, Mount Street in Mayfair. Our duties included full architectural services, cost management, project management and client representative.

The apartment was stripped back to a shell condition and the layout completely reconfigured in accordance with Planning and Listed Building consents. Bespoke classical details were installed throughout which included pilasters, cornices and panel mouldings. Traditionally constructed joinery including doors, architraves stairs and fitted wardrobes were provided by specialist artisan manufacturers. Heating was through underfloor heating and air conditioning was provided to all rooms.

Internal finishes included Italian Arabescato marble slabs to bathroom walls and floors as well as sculpted skirtings and architraves carved from sold blocks of marble. Oak herringbone parquet flooring to all rooms.

Sanitaryware and brassware from Catchpole and Rye and Drummonds. Kitchen by Smallbone and appliances by Sub Zero and Wolf.

Planning and Listed Building consent was obtained from Westminster Council. We obtained a Lcence to Alter from the Grosvenor Estate and implemented the works in collaboration their surveyors Murray Birrell.

The flat was sold for an undisclosed amount in excess of £10m.
